Avignon Home: The home theme shares the navigation and syndicated areas 01 & 02. Directly underneath the nav and logo, it has a large open space which you can place images and content. There is also an extra bottom nav feature (visible on this screenshot).

Avignon: The Avignon interior  has many customizable, colored syndicated areas, a secondary nav, along with a truly flexible design that can be altered via the stylesheet. For instance, if you do not like the top colored bar to flex with the width of the browser window, it can be altered to a fixed size. The navigational lines at the top do not have to be a part of your design, if you would prefer something different. It should be noted that this theme can stand alone without it's home page theme applied.
